things to do in maidstoneAll About Maidstone

The Days Inn Maidstone hotel is one of the few Maidstone hotels conveniently located for Maidstone town centre. Being the county town of Kent, Maidstone is full of things to do from visiting museums and relaxing in parks to shopping and eating out. Maidstone is most famous for being home to the historic Leeds Castle which is only 1 mile away from our hotel. Open all year, the Castle has over 900 years of history and boasts 500 acres of beautiful parkland.

The town has much history to go with it's architectural treasures with local finds dating back to Neolithic inhabitance with evidence of Roman occupation in roads and villas. The iguanadon featured on their coat of arms represents the discovery of dinosaur remains which now feature in the Natural History Museum in London.

Business & Leisure

Paper mills, stone quarrying, brewing and the cloth industry have all flourished in Maidstone, however it's now home to the largest office centre in the county and boasts two large shopping centres - The Mall and Fremlin Walk. There are a multitude of activities and things to do, especially if you enjoy a night out - the Lockmeadow Centre offers a multiplex cinema and restaurants, bars and nightclubs fill the town's market square.
