All about Chester

This historic city is just a 15 minute drive away, where you will find plenty of shops, restaurants and attractions. The town is renowned for its rich Roman and Medieval history, which is evident by some of the attractions that are situated throughout the city, including the Roman city walls, the Victorian Chester Rows.

Chester Castle is also a great tourist attraction, which is a Norman building dating back to the 11th Century, with many features and updates since the original construction, giving it now an overall neoclassical design. There are many other places to visit in the surrounding area, including the Grosvenor Museum exhibiting fine art, natural history, and artefacts found in the area from the medieval and roman eras, including coins, medals and battle artefacts.

The Blue Planet Aquarium is a great place for the family if you’re looking for something a little more contemporary compared to the rich history of the town. Which makes this one of Britain’s best aquariums with a collection of tropical sea-life, sharks and amphibians, with an underwater aqua tunnel giving you a rare view into the life at the ocean floor.
